CERTIFICATIONS

FSC® helps to care for the forests, the people and the animals that live in them. Social and forestry responsibility are its genesis.

We promote sustainable forest management and commit to:
     - Promoting forest certification in order to ensure that products come from responsibly managed forests;
     - Ensuring compliance with the standards defined by the International Labour Organization;
     - Rejecting any form of child labor, forced labor, and exploitation;
     - Ensuring that there is no discrimination in employment and occupation, and that freedom of association and the effective right to collective bargaining are respected;
     - Developing a working environment that promotes respect for diversity and the rights of every individual;

In addition, both companies promote sustainable forest management in their wood purchasing policy, committing in particular to:
     - Giving preference to wood originating from well-managed forests certified through the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) forest certification system;
     - Not marketing FSC®-certified products if their composition includes any of the following categories of forest-based raw materials:
         - Illegally harvested wood;
         - Wood harvested in violation of traditional and civil rights;
         - Wood harvested in forests where high conservation values are threatened by management activities;
         - Wood harvested in forests being converted to plantations or non-forest land uses;
         - Wood originating from forests where genetically modified trees have been planted;
         - Violation of any of the fundamental conventions of the International Labour Organization, as defined in its 1988 Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.

The attestation of conformity to the International Code of Cork Stopper Practices (CIPR) makes it possible to ensure that the company complies with the requirements of the cork sector and that environmental, health and safety at work standards are complied with.

ISO 14001 certification ensures compliance with the environmental management requirements in the global processes of the company.
